E-commerce Website Design
This was an e-commerce website I designed. I created this for two reasons. Firstly, it was as a method of learning how to design and build e-commerce websites. Secondly, I used it to actually build an e-commerce business. It was a very interesting project to work on and the final result was an amazing website that was both responsive and functional but also very beautiful and well designed. I built the website using WordPress as a CMS system and WooCommerce as a method of e-commerce.
The shop was an online emporium of unique gifts with a British country theme. A big focus of the product base was to provide gifts that could be personalised and in doing so made to feel more special. I designed products that were manufactured for sale on the website. I established and fostered relationships with suppliers as well as importing products from China.
I built the website so that it was SEO optimised using best practice. The site was completely responsive and the user experience was intuitive. The overall look was very modern with vibrant images and a clean design.
I also collaborated on a blog to go accompany it. This inspired visitors with gift ideas, trending products and news.
